All of the bulls sold through every Scotch Cap Angus bull sale since
inception have averaged $3,625. This
average doesn’t include many of the most famous bulls such as Scotch
Cap, Band 105 SC, Trail Boss, Westwind, Hi FLyer, Limited Edition,
Axehandle, Marbolier, Victory, Investor, Charger, and many others that
were held back from sales.

Gross receipts from the last 13 Scotch Cap sales add up to over $8.3
million. All of this from a 350- head cowherd, which has very deservedly
earned the reputation of America’s top income-producing herd.

Scotch Cap has consistently had the breed’s top averaging bull sale for
over 100 head.

Scotch Cap has produced several of the breed’s leading bulls for growth,
marbling, and REA.

Scotch Cap sires have led the breed for total registrations and have been
responsible for up to 10 percent of the total annual Angus registrations.

The Scotch Cap breeding program is unaffected by purebred fads and trends
and has a clear focus on traits that are economically important to the
industry.

Records are made to be broken and nearly every imaginable Angus record has
been broken at Scotch Cap, sometimes several times over.

Scotch Cap was among the first to pioneer the use of AHIR and make
breeding decisions based on National Sire Evaluation.

Scotch Cap was among the first to recognize that all facets of the
industry need to work together in our industry to survive. Through this
understanding they developed Angus America, a service company helping
hundreds of commercial breeders market their cattle and improve the
quality of the end product.
